Amanda received her education at Kaplan University in sunny San Diego, CA. Her time spent out west consisted of meeting new people, enjoying the waves, and discovering her career path. She first began working with athletes and injuries in Carlsbad, CA directly out of school. There, her passion for working in the athletic community quickly grew.
After lending her skills at many race and group events, Amanda began working at the Titleist training facility where she helped many professional golfers. As difficult as it was to leave California, she missed her family and decided to return to New Hampshire in 2005, settling in the Seacoast area. Upon her return, Amanda began working alongside a chiropractor in the area and gained a vast amount of knowledge in helping people with injuries.
In 2008, she opened Body Mechanix Massage. Amanda fell in love with Dover’s wonderful community and knew this was the place where she could practice her love for helping athletes and anyone looking to better their health through massage therapy services.
It’s been Amanda’s goal to help people discover the strength within their own body and to become proactive in keeping it healthy. In order to do this, she has been committed to continually furthering her education and understanding of the body. She has studied with some of the best practitioners in the world including Tom Myers, Dr. Perry Nickelston, and Liz Koch. Her travels have taken her to different parts of the country and even on an incredible immersion trip to Iceland where she studied the processes and function of the Psoas. Everyday is an adventure for her and advancing her personal and professional being is always at the forefront. To follow some of her adventures check out the blog.
It is incredible being part of the seacoast communities, which are brimming with dedicated athletes and people looking to optimize their health.
Amanda has used her professional knowledge and life experience to support her clients including athletes looking to improve their performance, people who have suffered injury or trauma and she has even supported many alongside their final days on earth. The passing of her mom in 2018 shed light on a much different side of healing. Our energetic being is just as important as our physical being and Amanda’s work has become a beautiful balance of helping clients work on their energetic selves in order to obtain physical excellence. Mind and body always go hand in hand in her work.
She loves to treat local athletes, and has a special place in her heart for members of Seacoast Kettlebell and Maxway Performance. She’s helped prepare runners for marathons and ultras and she’s worked with New England Patriots’ players in their off season. In addition to working with athletes, Amanda has done wonders for those recovering from surgery, experiencing chronic pain, and has a way about her that puts clients at ease on her table. She loves to talk and laugh and learn and exudes a warm and welcoming presence always.
Amanda loves growing this business and vision with her partner Alicia. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her children, Izzie and Gracelyn, and her three bonus babies: Poppy, Romy, and Thatcher. She always finds room for growth and love and has a super soft spot for the newest family member, Wally, the Frenchie. She enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and staying as active as possible.

“I highly recommend Body Mechanix Massage. I’ve been a client of Amanda’s for 2+ years now. I originally started seeing her because I was cycling a lot and she knew just the areas I needed work on based on our consult and my activities. She worked on me before, during my pregnancy, and presently. I see her at minimum once a month and she always starts our appointment by asking me how I’m feeling, and what we can focus on. She’s a real professional and truly a healer. I always leave feeling relief and rejuvenated. Move than five stars for her! She’s truly the best massage therapist I’ve ever had.” Lawa-Na McClellan
“Amanda is the 🐐 and seriously has (and continues) to make such a positive impact on both how I feel and how I understand my body. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!” Chase Winovich
