Body Mechanix Massage owners

Amanda Holt is the founder of Body Mechanix and has spent more than two decades helping people move with greater ease, recover from injury, and return to the activities they love. Since opening Body Mechanix in 2008, her mission has remained the same: to provide thoughtful, individualized care that looks beyond symptoms to understand the person as a whole.
Amanda’s journey into massage therapy began in California, where she attended Kaplan University and was immersed in a community centered around movement, performance, and an active lifestyle. After graduating, she worked with athletes in Southern California, supporting injury recovery and performance goals, volunteering at endurance events, and eventually joining the Titleist Performance Institute, where she gained valuable experience working with high-level athletes.

After returning home to New Hampshire in 2005, Amanda continued to expand her clinical knowledge while working alongside a local chiropractor, deepening her understanding of injury rehabilitation and the relationship between movement, structure, and function. In 2008, she opened Body Mechanix with the belief that massage therapy should be an important part of healthcare—not simply a luxury.

With a background in orthopedic massage, injury rehabilitation, and athletic performance, Amanda works with a wide range of clients, from competitive athletes and weekend warriors to individuals navigating chronic pain, recovering from surgery, or simply hoping to move through life with less discomfort. Her approach combines skilled hands-on therapy with a deep understanding of the body, creating sessions that are purposeful, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique goals.

Amanda believes the most meaningful results happen when therapists and clients work together. Her goal is not only to provide relief, but to help people better understand their bodies, restore healthy movement, and build confidence in their ability to heal.

Her commitment to lifelong learning has taken her around the country to study with respected educators including Tom Myers, Dr. Perry Nickelston, and Liz Koch. A particularly meaningful educational experience brought her to Iceland, where she studied the psoas and its connection to movement, posture, breathing, and overall health. Every opportunity to learn strengthens her belief that there is always more to discover about the human body.

Throughout her career, Amanda has had the privilege of supporting people through many different seasons of life—from helping athletes prepare for their next challenge, to guiding clients through injury recovery, chronic pain, and even end-of-life care. These experiences have shaped her belief that people bring more than physical pain into the treatment room; they bring their stories, stress, emotions, and life experiences. True healing requires caring for the whole person.
Over the years, Amanda has grown Body Mechanix into a practice rooted in clinical excellence, compassion, and genuine connection. She is passionate about mentoring her team, continually improving the client experience, and creating a space where people feel welcomed, supported, and empowered in their health.

Outside the treatment room, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, open-water swimming, cycling, exploring the outdoors, and continuing to learn. She remains endlessly curious about the human body and is always searching for new ways to help people move, heal, and live well.

Happy Clients

“I highly recommend Body Mechanix Massage. I’ve been a client of Amanda’s for 2+ years now. I originally started seeing her because I was cycling a lot and she knew just the areas I needed work on based on our consult and my activities. She worked on me before, during my pregnancy, and presently. I see her at minimum once a month and she always starts our appointment by asking me how I’m feeling, and what we can focus on. She’s a real professional and truly a healer. I always leave feeling relief and rejuvenated. Move than five stars for her! She’s truly the best massage therapist I’ve ever had.” Lawa-Na McClellan

“Amanda is the 🐐  and seriously has (and continues) to make such a positive impact on both how I feel and how I understand my body. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!” Chase Winovich
