Growing up, Megan always knew she would someday have a career that involved healing of some kind. It wasn’t until a camping trip where she and a friend stayed up until dawn talking about massage therapy that she decided that it was the path she was meant to walk.
Megan earned her certificate in Massage Therapy in 2019 and uses a range of modalities such as Swedish, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage to encourage and support the body’s natural healing abilities.
She continues to expand her knowledge of the use and health benefits of essential oils through research and personal use. In her free time, Megan participates and is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) as a heavy fighter and student of the arts and sciences, creating chainmaille jewelry, and knitting.

Deep Tissue:
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders
Sports Massage:
Sports massage therapy is geared toward athletes of every kind, from world-class professionals to weekend joggers. The particulars of the sports massage technique are specific to the athlete’s sport of choice. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.
Pre-Natal:
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).
In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension — which aids in better sleep — and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes.
Relaxation:
Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
