Lindsay had a passion for massage therapy at a very young age. Her professional path came later for her as she built her family first.
She has been married for 14 years to her husband, James. They have quadruplets who are now 11 years old. Family has been her number one, but as her kids have grown, so has her passion for massage. As they say, there is no time like the present… Lindsay began her education to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in the midst of the pandemic.
Lindsay graduated from Great Bay Community College in the summer of 2021 and is very excited to embark on her career to help relieve the daily life stresses, aches, and pains and help them all melt away. She has always enjoyed helping people, be it giving advice or being a shoulder to lean on. She’s thrilled to now be able to physically help her family, friends, and clients. She is passionate about healing the body, mind, and soul.
In her spare time Lindsay loves to cook and bake, read and write, and take random adventurous road trips that lead to fun locations with her family. She also loves to research different modalities that Massage Therapy has to offer and looks forward to applying what she learns to her clients, giving them the best experience and education possible.
Lindsay’s Treatments + Rates:
Deep Tissue:
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders
Sports Massage:
Sports massage therapy is geared toward athletes of every kind, from world-class professionals to weekend joggers. The particulars of the sports massage technique are specific to the athlete’s sport of choice. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.
Pre-Natal:
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).
In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension — which aids in better sleep — and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes.
Relaxation:
Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
